Scranton, Pennsylvania boasts the largest concentration of Dietrich designs with more than twenty houses (and counting)! Scranton’s incredibly rapid growth from the iron, coal, and railroad industries at the end of the nineteenth century aligned with Dietrich’s own career success as he moved to New York and grew in prominence. Beginning in 1887 with the Thomas E. and Evelyn Wisner Jones residence “Field Stone”, Dietrich designed homes for some of the most important citizens of Scranton in the Hill Section and North Park (Green Ridge) neighborhoods.

I look forward to seeing you there!

Chris
